Description: Kforce is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Developer for one of its' clients in San Antonio, TX. This individual must be an experienced application developer for a mainframe position COBOL. Candidates who are qualified and interested are encouraged to apply.
Requirements: Requirements Include:
· 3 or more years of experience DB2
· 2 or more years of experience JCL
· 2 or more years of experience CICS
· 1 or more years of experience VSAM
· Prior project experience MQ Mainframe
· Prior project experience ISPF or related toolsets
· Prior project experience
· Systems experience to include: (1) structured analysis and design; (2) 3 or more years of experience working knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC); (3) experience with development projects in excess of 1,000 hours of effort; (4) 2 or more years of experience system maintenance; (5) 2 or more years of experience with mainframe batch systems; (6) 1 or more years of experience with mainframe code supporting online systems
· Must work well with others
· Good communication skills
· Committed (e.g. doesn't just punch the clock)
· Capable of self management on a daily basis (e.g. don't have to break out tasks hour by hour)
· Capable of leading small teams of individuals in support of project goals (e.g. leverage 3rd party)
· Occasional on-call support activity
