VOLT Technical Resources is searching for an experienced Software Engineer for one of our Top Clients in San Antonio Texas. Candidate must be experienced with developing and integrating Information Assurance (IA) solutions into structured system engineering processes from concept development out through Critical Design Review (CDR). This position will help direct a software team in the research, design and development of secure software systems, software applications, networks, and tools. The responsibilities will include: o Designing and developing Multi Level Security (MLS) security architectures and associated design approaches to include but not limited to MILS, Cross Domain Solutions, Computer Network Defense, Identification, Authentication and Authorization (IA&A) solutions, Key Management Plans, Multi-level Gateways, Secure Remote Access, Secure Virtual Private Networks, and Security Management o Developing and evaluating systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications. o Directing software and network design, development, testing, enhancements and modifications. o Supporting software architect/lead in developing technical solutions to complex problems while adhering to prescribed CMMI software processes. o Taking responsibility of the full software life cycle using standard methodologies such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design. o Code (using agile processes) software solutions based on User Stories, Use Cases and System Requirements.

Requirements:
A Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years directly related software development experience or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years directly related software development experience is also required. Equivalent years of directly related development experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Ability to manage a small agile software development team and adhere to defined budget / schedule / performance specifications. Due to the nature of work performed at our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required, and for this opportunity, the successful candidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Current / active clearance is preferred. Knowledge and implementation experience with XML-based web services; J2EE development environments using various IDEs with an emphasis on Eclipse/WTP; Experience with Sybase, MySQL Oracle Relational Database, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle 10G DBA; Experience with XML-RPC, SOAP / UDDI, RMI, JMS, ESB; Experience with Adobe Flex; and Experience with Spring; JBoss SOA Platform.
· Expertise in a broad range of technologies including electronic controls and networks.
